Discussion with the authors and coordinator of the book “O vazio não está nem quando é silêncio – vozes femininas na literatura”

“O vazio não está nem quando é silêncio – vozes femininas na literatura” is a book with short stories and chronicles written by twenty-one writers – beginners and professional writers. It contains very different voices: whether in the style of writing either in their positions and activisms. At the same time, their themes cross aspects such as motherhood or non-motherhood, work, routine, self-esteem, violence, liberation, maturity and resistance. Besides, all the authors are joined through a geographical point: they live ou have lived for a time in Bauru, a city in the state of São Paulo. And now they come together in this literary project, created by a small and an independent publisher – which also resists.

Adriana Maximino

She was born in Bauru, has a PhD in Translation Studies and now lives in Frankfurt, Germany, where she works as a translator. He is 51 years old, and has written since an early age, but this is the first time that she has published one of his short stories.

Agnes Analua Barbosa

Agnes Analua Barbosa is 21 years old and started writing at 7. She was born in Pirajuí and lives in Bauru. She is a writer, composer, rapper, actress and moderator of Sub Verso Slam, a poetry battle that has been going on for 3 years in the city center. It is in art that makes her strong to resist.

Natália Mota

She is a visual artist, graffiti artist and art educator. She was born in Tiradentes, 23 years old. She studies Visual Arts in Bauru. She work with cultural spaces. Her research and projects are based on contemporary black artistic production.

Patricia Lima

She is 33 years old, was born in São Paulo and has lived in Bauru for more than 10 years. She was graduated in Literature and has a specialization in Language, Culture and Media. She is one of the coordinators of the reading group Cevadas Literárias and author of the book “O amor é a solo de jazz”.

Resumo

“O vazio não está nem quando é silêncio – vozes femininas na literatura” reúne contos, crônicas e microcontos assinados por vinte e uma escritoras – entre iniciantes e profissionais. São vozes distintas, seja no estilo da escrita, seja no posicionamento ou na militância. Ao mesmo tempo, são vivências que se entrelaçam em aspectos como maternidade/não maternidade, trabalho, rotina, autoestima, violência, libertação, amadurecimento e resistência.

As autoras deste livro também estão ligadas por uma condição geográfica: todas elas viveram ou ainda vivem na cidade de Bauru, no interior do estado de São Paulo, Brasil. E agora se juntam neste projeto idealizado por uma editora de pequeno porte, independente e distante dos principais centros – e que também resiste.

Nasceu em Bauru. Doutorou-se em Estudos da Tradução e atualmente mora em Frankfurt, Alemanha, onde trabalha como tradutora. Tem 50 anos e escreve desde cedo, mas é a primeira vez que publica um de seus contos.

É artista visual, grafiteira e arte-educadora. Paulistana da Cidade Tiradentes, 23 anos, estuda Artes Visuais em Bauru. Atua em espaços culturais e escolas públicas. Suas pesquisas e projetos têm como referência a produção artística negra contemporânea.

Patrícia Lima

Tem 33 anos, nasceu em São Paulo e vive em Bauru há mais de uma década. É graduada em Letras e tem especialização em Linguagem, Cultura e Mídia. É umas das coordenadoras do grupo de leitura Cevadas Literárias e autora do livro O amor é um solo de jazz.
